Charissa was born at Seattle Washington, United States on 4th May 1982. ESPN analyst was hired as co-host for SportsNation in the year 2012. She was also co-hosting ABC's Splash alongside Joey Lawrence. Thompson, who was raised and born in Seattle Washington, hosted Splash on ABC. As the youngest of her 3 siblings, Thompson knew that she wanted to be a broadcaster and wanted from an early stage. She was a student at Inglemoor High School at Kenmore Washington. Thompson moved from Washington to California in order to enroll at a community college. Additionally, she was granted California residency. Thompson was contacted through Sports Illustrated via email before she started her career as the sportscaster.
